As a young man, William De’Oraguille left Hedgeport for Erdefini where he learned the martial arts. When he returned and vanquished Deren Claylen of Teek he took over Hedgeport for a time and married Adeline who gave him a son. With Adeline about to bare his second child he left with son Delethon for Erdefini and never returned. Adeline ruled in his absence until Sagelen was placed on the throne. In Erdefini, William eventually adopted a new name and married a local woman named Sheila.
